Newsletters – 2010

January 2010

The holidays are over and the dreaded work of storing all the decorations has me in major procrastination mode. Studs is pumped and raring to get our home back in order. The man has boundless energy, especially with Super Bowl on the horizon.

IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

Last issue our contest was to email me with Germany in the subject line for a chance to win a copy of TEDDI TURNS ON book one in the Magnificent Men of Munich series. Two names were drawn. And the winners are:

CAROLYN O
TEWANDA H

Thank you to all who entered and I hope you play again this newsletter.

Next good news…

ASPEN MOUNTAIN PRESS has contracted the expanded and improved series Naughty Ladies of Nice. I’m really excited about my editor Mychael Black and invite you all to check his web sites:

http://www.mychaelblack.net/
http://mychael-black2.livejournal.com/275392.html

Be prepared for very adult content.

And there’s more!!

ASPEN MOUNTAIN PRESS has also contracted ANGEL’S SHARE, a new book about a female American sommelier who takes a job at a posh restaurant in Paris. I’ll have more on this book as soon as my critique partners whip me into shape.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Studs and I are planning a wonderful one week vacation to Naples, Florida with our good friends, Bonnie and Tom. It’s been three years since the four of us have traveled together. We’re so ready to eat, drink and golf our way through the south. Due to the high airfare, Studs thinks driving would be best. I’m all for it, especially if we go down through the Carolinas and Georgia with the return up through New Orleans and Memphis. My only hope is we don’t kill each other on the drive!

ON WRITING

I’m up to the tips of my unnaturally blonde hair in contracts and commitments for 2010! On the schedule are ten books, all to be written before November. At least two of these masterpieces are as yet untitled. Do you think I’ve overextended myself just a tad? LOL. As soon as they release me from my padded cell, I’ll give you all an update on the progress.

CONTEST

It’s time for another Newsletter Members Only Contest. We’re staying with easy. There will be 2 winners. The prize is a free download, LONNIE HEATS UP, book two in the Magnificent Men of Munich series by yours truly.

Here’s the blurb:

Lost in the Austrian Alps, psychologist Lonnie Copley is forced to accept help from a Hell’s Angel wannabe. She never expected to be trapped with the Aryan god in deserted Castle Flophouse.

Disgusted with cleaning up his client’s dirty lives, attorney Wolfe Deider is in major career throes. He doesn’t need some insolent woman mucking up his mind, even if she does have a mouth made for kissing.

To enter, simply email mesloanetaylor@comcast.net, on or before March 1, 2010. Please type AUSTRIA in the subject line. Easy is the best!

As always, I love to hear from you. Feel free to email me, sloanetaylor@comcast.net, any time.

Thank you again for allowing me to update you on my life. I’ll be back in April. Until then…

Happy Reading!

May 2010

Spring has sprung and summer is on the way. We’re planning our vegetable garden and would appreciate any suggestions you might offer, especially on how to get rid of milkweed and chipmunks. The rotten things have taken over everything except those pesky varmints.

IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

Last issue our contest was to email me with Austria in the subject line for a chance to win a copy of LONNIE HEATS UP book two in the Magnificent Men of Munich series. Two names were drawn. And the winners are:

EVA S
TRISH W

Next good news…

FRENCH TART, Naughty Ladies of Nice book one, is out and doing well. Here’s a short blurb:

Determined to prove herself and shed her party girl image, Donatienne Dubois pins her hopes on the exclusive cooking school in Nice, France. One by one her expectations are shattered by a foul-mouthed parrot, a bogus Michelin chef, and a headmistress with a heart of tungsten steel. Her lifesaver is a bad boy hunk too hot not to handle.

Sebastien Reinard is incognito, hating every minute. To pose as a student while protecting a rich wild child is his version of hell, until he partners with the slice of Crème Brule good enough to eat.

You can read an excerpt on my website.

And there’s more!!

FRENCH DELIGHTS, Naughty Ladies of Nice book two, is also out. Another short blurb to tease you. 🙂

Lisette Hugo arrives in Nice, France to rescue her irresponsible friend then pamper herself with an overdue vacation. As an added delight, her run down rental cottage comes complete with a sexy French gardener well equipped to satisfy all of her fantasies.

Paul D’Laquois, an impoverished research scientist scraping by on the remnants of his family’s estate, has poured his meager resources into his work. He couldn’t be happier when a wealthy tourist rents his dilapidated cottage. That she’s beautiful, seductive and more than interested in him convinces Paul he’s not as dried up as his orchard.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Hope you don’t mind, but it’s time for a little grandparent bragging. You can skip this section, but you will be quizzed later. 🙂

Kid, our twelve year old who’s going on twenty-five (groan), performed Tinkerbelle for the Indiana Youth Ballet in their spring version of Peter Pan. We were all blown away with her dancing and acting ability. She’s finally come down to earth after all the autograph and photo requests.

Tiger, our seven year old, is a baseball great in the making. Three games, and they are exciting, into his Little League season and his team has won two games and tied a third. Tiger’s a strong hitter and thrower with a perfect eye. He takes the game seriously and practices his little heart out with Dad and Studs.

Little K is next in the line. She disliked ballet classes. No point in torturing K or the teachers. Her parents enrolled her in Tai Kwan Do and to their surprise, she’s one happy student. Last month she competed and came in second in sparring and third in form. With two trophies in hand and a well-deserved yellow belt, K is the first in the car for classes.

We have two more grands, both boys, who are a little young for sports, but we know their parents are counting the months until the time is right. And so are we.

ON WRITING

Last newsletter I reported ten books are contracted. I’m happy to say three are done, edited, and two are released. The fourth will be turned in this week and number five the following week. Only five to go. I feel good about the progress and am confident my publishers are too.

Here’s the blurb:

Francine Daniels doesn’t trust men. Not since two husbands and a con artist ruined her life. After years of struggle – during which she took back control and soared to new heights – there is no place in her plans for a German hottie…Even if she does burst into flames at his touch.

August 2010

Summer’s here and it’s time for outdoor fun! We had a great experience when a dove built a nest in our trellis. She laid two eggs which hatched in thirteen days. The babies, we named them Dawn and Able, grew faster than weeds. Seven days after we became proud spectators, our not so little grandbirds literally flew the coop. Both Studs and I were disappointed we didn’t get to have them longer. Hmm, a very similar scenario as our grandchildren.

IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

Last issue our contest was to email me with the names of our three oldest grandchildren, Kid, Tiger and Little K for a chance to win a copy of FRANCINE ON FIRE book three in the Magnificent Men of Munich series. Two names were drawn. And the winners are:

Disa Ellstrom has had it with sports figures who always expect more from her than a massage. She can’t believe her friend Carl sent the American goalie to her. Unable to ignore the man’s pain, however, Disa takes on Colt and soon finds her heart melting faster than a spring thaw.

Combine a hot-blooded American and a Swedish spitfire and they’re sure to set Stockholm ablaze…

You can read an excerpt here.

And there’s more!!

FRENCH KISS, Naughty Ladies of Nice book four, releases September 10. Another short blurb to tease you. 🙂

Straight-laced children’s author, Rachel Conklin, awakens on a deserted island wrapped in the arms of a sexy pirate. Convinced she’s in a dream conjured from the pages of her breakout novel, Rachel casts her inhibitions to the wind and seduces the handsome sailor. Rides the waves of passion

Pediatrician Henri Bernier wasn’t quite sure what to do with the sexy mermaid he’d pulled from the sea. Then she started kissing him and sent his libido soaring. Now the good doctor is ready for anything.

November 2010

It’s hard to believe the holiday season begins in a few short weeks. The grandkids are already bursting with gift suggestions. As you may remember, each Christmas Eve we host a themed sit-down dinner for friends and family. This year we’ve decided on American 1950s. I’m looking forward to it, but for the life of me can’t remember what we ate! Do you have any suggestions? If so, please email and help out this misguided author. I’d be grateful and so would our guests!

IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

Last issue our contest was to email me with VENICE is the subject line for a chance to win a copy of ISABELLA IGNITES book four in the Magnificent Men of Munich series. Two names were drawn. And the winners are:

FRENCH TICKLER, Naughty Ladies of Nice book five, is out! Here’s a short blurb:

Lingerie designer Samantha Bradley is on the brink of major success. While having the time of her life in Nice she meets sexy Cisco Bernier, a man who turns her heart inside out and makes her body sizzle.

Despite being France’s key criminal prosecutor, Cisco’s success in relationships has been less than zero. When he meets Sam, his staid world goes up in flames.

Their happiness is short lived as their pasts collide. His underhanded mother and her mob-connected father resurface to threaten their future.

You can read an excerpt here.

And there’s more!!

CLAIRE DE LUNE, the sci/fi book Robert Appleton invited me to co-author, releases in November as an e-book and will go to print in December! Another short blurb to tease you:

You’re invited to the galaxy’s most prestigious beauty pageant. Clothing optional. Romance and danger…fully provided.

Cocky young detectives Gerry Rappeneau and Sebastian Thorpe-Campbell arrive at the premier lunar resort expecting a week of eye candy and long massages. With a half-billion-credit purse up for grabs, this year’s pageant is the focus of a hundred worlds. And beauty isn’t the only thing in the eye of the beholder.

One contestant, Evelyn Lyons, is attacked and her assailant killed. Surely a simple case of a stalker gone mad, as nothing bad ever happens at the Selene contest. So the brochure says.

The closer Gerry gets to Evelyn, the more he is convinced she’s hiding something. His meticulous character sparks with her wild, sassy nature, and they embark on a torrid affair. Their forbidden romance isn’t the only thing set to ignite in Pont de Reves.

Sebastian’s infatuation with demure Claire Villiers, another contestant, threatens to put all four of them in harm’s way.

A deadly trail of corporate conspiracy, monstrous assassins and hot bikini wax is more than anyone bargained for in this incendiary erotic mystery. Get ready for some serious heat on the dark side of the moon.

The moment it’s released, you can read an excerpt on my website www.sloanetaylor.com.
